Position Overview

FYBR Solutions is looking for a dynamic and creative GIS analyst to join our rapidly growing


The GIS Analyst is an essential part of the FYBR Solutions data analysis team. He or she will

work in collaboration with field personnel and other analysts to process, analyze, manage and

deliver various types of geospatial data products. Furthermore, the analyst will contribute to the

development of our cutting-edge remote sensing applications.

  • Generate 3D photogrammetric models from drone imagery
  • Analyze geospatial data for mill sites and forested areas
  • Perform quality assurance of geospatial data products
  • Create, develop and maintain databases
  • Develop and program analytical tools
  • Produce professional maps and reports for delivery to clients


Education level

  • College or university level GIS diploma

Required technical competency

  • Proficient with QGIS or ArcGIS
  • Programming experience with R and/or Python
  • Capable of creating, organizing and manipulating vector, raster and point cloud data

Personal skills

  • Meticulous and highly organized
  • Communicates effectively with clients and coworkers
  • Capable of working without direct supervision

Relevant experience

  • Worked within the Canadian forestry sector
  • Pix4D and Agisoft
  • SQL
  • Drone operations
  • LiDAR
  • High-resolution imagery analysis
  • GPS and other field survey equipment
  • Adobe Creative Suite
